Scarlett Johansson born November 22, 1984 is an American actress and singer. Johansson made her film debut in the 1994 film North and was later nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for her performance in 1996's Manny & Lo. Johansson rose to fame with her roles in 1998's The Horse Whisperer and 2001's Ghost World.
She transitioned to adult roles with her performances in Girl with a Pearl Earring and Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation, for which she won a BAFTA Award, and both films earned her Golden Globe Award nominations in 2003. A role in A Love Song for Bobby Long earned her a third Golden Globe for Best Actress nomination.
Following an appearance in The Island, Johansson garnered a fourth Golden Globe nomination, for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Woody Allen's Match Point. She also starred in other Allen movies, such as Scoop, with Hugh Jackman and Allen, and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, alongside Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Rebecca Hall. Scarlett Johansson appeared in films such as Christopher Nolan's The Prestige and the summer blockbuster Iron Man 2. A role in the 2010s Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge gave her some of her best reviews for her acting, and she received a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play.
On May 20, 2008, Johansson debuted as a vocalist on her first album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, which comprises mostly cover versions of Tom Waits songs. Her second album, Break Up, with Pete Yorn, was released in September 2009.

Early life
Johansson was born in New York City on November 22, 1984. Her father, Karsten Johansson, is a Danish-born architect, and her paternal grandfather, Ejner Johansson, was a screenwriter and director. Her mother, Melanie Sloan, a producer, comes from an Ashkenazi Jewish family from the Bronx. Johansson has an older sister, Vanessa, who is an actress; an older brother, Adrian; a twin brother, Hunter (who appeared with her in the film Manny & Lo); and an older half-brother, Christian, from her father's first marriage.
Johansson grew up in a household with "little money," and with a mother who was a "film buff." She and her brother, Hunter, attended P.S. 41 in Greenwich Village in elementary school.Johansson began her theatrical training by attending and graduating from Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 2002.

She began her acting career in the late 1990s, appearing in several television series, including American Gothic and Once and Again. Early life and family
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III, is a locally prominent actor, singer, theater director, and playwright who is the Executive Director of a local regional theatre company called Theatre in the Park. Her mother, Sara Lynn Moore (born March 6, 1958), is an actress, director and acting coach. Wood's brother, Ira David Wood IV, is also an actor; she has another brother, Dana. Her paternal aunt, Carol Winstead Wood, is a Hollywood production designer.
Wood and her brothers were actively involved in Theatre in the Park while growing up, including an appearance by her in the 1987 production of her father's internationally renowned musical comedy adaptation of A Christmas Carol when she was just a few months old. Subsequently, she played the Ghost of Christmas Past in several productions at the theater, and she later starred as Helen Keller alongside her mother (who played Annie Sullivan) in a production of The Miracle Worker, under her father's direction.

Early life
Cook was born in Oshawa, Ontario and spent most of her life growing up in Whitby where she attended Anderson Collegiate Vocational Institute. Her father, Mike, is a teacher and her mother, Sandra, works as a psychiatrist. She has three siblings, Nathan, Paul, and Angela. Cook is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Career
Cook's first job was in a McDonald's commercial in 1997. She graduated to series work with a guest role on the television series Goosebumps, and parts in two television movies, In His Father's Shoes and Elvis Meets Nixon. Cook launched her feature film career as one of five captivating suicidal sisters in 1999's The Virgin Suicides. Also that year, she took a starring role in the TV series Higher Ground, in which Cook played Shelby Merrick, a rough-around-the-edges teenage girl dealing with abuse and heartache at a wilderness school for struggling kids. Higher Ground lasted one season, ending with a romance between Shelby and Hayden Christensen's character, Scott.
After Higher Ground, Cook appeared in the 2000 TV movie The Spiral Staircase (alongside Higher Ground alum Kandyse McClure), and then captured leading roles in several films, including Out Cold (as Jason London's love interest), Ripper, I'm Reed Fish, and Final Destination 2.
She currently stars as Jennifer "J.J." Jareau in the CBS drama Criminal Minds. On June 14, 2010 it was announced that her contract option would not be picked up for the show's sixth season as a series regular but she did return for two episodes to wrap up her character's storyline due to thousands of letters and petitions written to the show's producers. She also returned for one episode for the departure of Paget Brewster from Criminal Minds.[7] On April 16, 2011 it was reported that she had signed to reappear for two more seasons of the show.

Early life
Talancón first started studying acting in Cancún with the Cuban professor Albio Paz. She later went to Mexico City to continue her studies at the Acting Workshop of Héctor Mendoza and Raúl Quintanilla. Since then, she has starred in various soap operas such as Al norte del Corazón, Señora, Romántica obsesión (for which she won the Sol de Oro award in 1999 for Best New Actress) and Amor Latino.
Her big screen acting debut was with the movie El Cometa by Marisa Sistach, playing the character Valentina, for which she was nominated for the Ariel award for Best New Actress. Her biggest role was alongside Gael García Bernal in El Crimen del Padre Amaro (2002) in the role of Amelia, a girl who is impregnated by a Catholic priest and then dies after a backyard abortion.
Career
In 2006, she appeared in Richard Linklater's Fast Food Nation as Coco, a Mexican immigrant forced to work in a meatpacking plant. In the same year, she starred in the big-screen movie Alone with Her as the main character. She appeared in other movies such as The Virgin of Juarez, in which she received the award for the Best Supporting Actress at the BendFilm Festival, and Mujer Albastrina.
In 2007, Talancón mostly spent time filming big screen movies such as Love in the Time of Cholera and El Ultimo Justo, rather than Latin soap operas.
In 2008, she starred in the big-screen movies One Missed Call, which was nominated at the Teen Choice Awards, Arrancame la Vida, and Days of Wrath, plus a Mexican TV series, Terminales.

Harry Potter finale rakes in whopping $1 bln worldwide
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," the eighth and finale of the Harry Potter movies, is generating huge revenue while continuing its screening worldwide, distributor Warner Bros. announced Monday.
The film has already raked in more than one billion U.S. dollars at box offices worldwide, becoming the first in the series, and the ninth film in cinema history to reach that benchmark on Sunday -- seventeen days after being released in North America as well as most international markets,the Burbank, California-based studio said in a statement.
It also became the top-grossing film in Warner Bros.' history, with a total global revenue of about 1.008 billion dollars, including an estimated318.46 million dollars from domestic market and 690 million dollars abroad.
"What's truly astounding is that these kinds of numbers are being achieved so early in the film's release," Warner Bros. Pictures President of Domestic Distribution Dan Fellman said. "The movie's excellent reviews, outstanding word-of-mouth and repeat business will ensure that Harry Potter will be charming moviegoers for months to come."
As of Sunday, the film has successfully held its number one spot at the world box office for three consecutive weeks, during which it took in 66.6 million dollars from 14,500 screens in 60 locations.
With Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reprising their roles as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively, the finale features an apocalyptic showdown between good and evil forces in the imaginary world of wizards.
